An Act of Kindness

The consequences of war are far-reaching and serious. These consequences leave numerous veterans struggle with physical and mental health problems and even homelessness. Add to these figure, the numbers of veterans from recent wars experience post-traumatic stress disorder and more suicides per day among our veterans is tragic and unacceptable.

In a success story by Naomi Davidson, she shared her experiences about helping homeless veterans. She shared how these homeless veterans got to a point of being homeless and each of them has a different story to tell. For instances, some of them abused drugs and alcohol because they were trying to self-medicate and some of them lost families, good jobs, homes and more. With these, she mentioned how these homeless veterans suffered so much and how much they needed mental help, care and love.

As a matter of fact, an example of her good deed is the story of a homeless veteran named Charles F. Burt Jr. whom she took in after his son passed away. With Naomi’s kindness, Charles learned to laugh and love himself despite the tragic life he was facing but later on, he passed away due to some complications. However, Naomi’s eagerness to help homeless veterans did not stop there because it was an amazing gift to see how someone whom you help change for the better and she will continue to help more in memory of Charles Burt.

It is indeed heartbreaking to see how these homeless veterans thinks no one cares for them but the truth is they need to know love. With this type of unfortunate battle, each of us has the unprecedented ability to offer not only monetary support but also the reach of our own online networks in support of a cause. To help Naomi continue her selfless work with just a tap please support and share as much as possible her story.

And Naomi’s selfless work would not be possible and can continue to help and grow more with your generosity. In doing so, she is open and humbly asking for generous donations. It may be small but it can make a big difference and can help save a life today.
