The continuing personal and family sacrifices in support to their nation involve long periods of deployment to the war zone leaving numerous military veterans and their families feeling isolated and confounded. All of these difficulties, as well as the combat experience and battle encounter itself, can cause both visible and invisible scars for veterans and their families.
With this type of battle, the impacts we are seeing are unhealed wounds, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. In response to the needs of these veterans the Veteran Rescue Program is dedicated in exploring ways that might assist them. Veteran Rescue is the trade name of Animal Rescue & Veteran Support Services, Corp. Its mission is dedicated to transforming the lives of wounded and Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Veterans through equine interaction, therapies and job opportunities. Veteran Rescue program also helps and is available to other personnel who are affected with PTSD. Disabled children and others in need, such as battered women are also encouraged to utilize their services.
The Veteran Rescue Program utilizes both physical and psychological approach which directly assists Veterans, as well as government, public, and corporate agencies and disabled children and others in need. They focus on healing veterans who were visibly and invisibly wounded, those who are afflicted with PTSD and their families within those communities. In accomplishing this, they use equine therapy and animal assisted therapy which is designed to reduce various symptoms of PTSD and other symptoms felt by those affected individuals.
The Veteran Rescue program also offer their unique team and skill set to benefit others. They also provide leadership and responsibility in their industry because they utilize and rehabilitates service animals in their equine therapy pairing them with affected veterans as part of healing retreats.
